Uninstall your product

If you still cannot activate your license, uninstall your Avast product by using the uninstall option in your Android settings or via Google Play.

Before you start uninstalling Avast Mobile Security, deactivate the Device Administrators permission granted for the app. Go to Settings » Security on your device. Tap Device administrators, then tap Avast Mobile Security and Deactivate to disable the permission. These steps may differ slightly depending on your device mode, Android version, and vendor customizations.

Follow these steps to uninstall your product according to your preferred method:

  • Uninstall app via your Android settings: go to Settings » Apps on your device and select the app you want to uninstall from the app list. Tap Uninstall and OK to confirm the uninstallation process.
  • Uninstall app via Google Play Store: search for the app you want to uninstall in Google Play Store and tap it. Tap Uninstall and OK to confirm the uninstallation process.

Verify if you are connected to the correct Google Account

Notes

If you do not remember which account you used for your purchase, go to the Play Store menu and select Account » Subscription to see a list of subscriptions assigned to the currently selected Google Account.

1. Open the Google Play Store and tap the menu icon in the top-left corner of the screen.

2. If the account that you are currently logged into is not the account used during your purchase, follow one of these instructions:

  • Click your current account name or email address to see a full list of accounts, then tap the Google Account that you used during your purchase.
  • If you don’t see your correct account listed, follow the steps in the section Switch between accounts » Switch accounts on the Google Play website on a mobile device in this Google Support article:

Install and activate your product

If you are connected to the correct Google Account, install and activate your product again:

1. Open Google Play Store on your device.

2. Search for the avast keyword and select the product you want to install, then tap the Install button on the next screen.

3. Tap Accept to agree to the necessary permissions.

4. Activate your product again.

Uninstall your product

If you still cannot activate your license, uninstall your Avast product by following these steps:

1. Press and hold the icon of the app you want to uninstall on the main screen of your device for a few seconds.

2. Tap the small X which appears in the upper-left corner of the icon.

3. Confirm that you want to remove the app from your device.

Verify that you are connected to the correct iCloud Account

After uninstallation, ensure that you are logged into the same iCloud Account on your device that was used during your purchase. Follow these steps:

1. Open your device settings and tap App and iTunes Stores.

2. Verify that the Apple ID visible at the top of the screen is the same ID that was used during your purchase.

Install your product and activate it again

If you are connected to the correct iCloud Account, install and activate your product again:
